Membership of RPI
 Updated

Membership is open to practitioners throughout the world.  We are conscious of building an organisation that will support practitioners and help build practice, whilst also being affordable to those working tirelessly in the field.

We acknowledge that there are many ways of working restoratively and would like to openly encourage diverse practice to prosper.  We have much to learn from each other and much to share about what works within the communities that we serve.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those intending members who paid a member levy to keep our work going.  Your money has been used to develop our constitution and to lodge this.  We have been very economical to date with the vast majority of work having been managed on a voluntary basis.  We do however realise that this will change as our membership grows and we continue to develop our member services.

Thank you to: Carol Guthrie, Robyn Hutchinson, Debbie Laycock, David Moore, Katherine Johnson, Graeme George, Bill Hansberry, Tom Stodulka, John Lennox and Les Davies (Australia), Vic Kelly (US); Maurie Abrahams (NZ): Joan Stead, Gillean McCluskey and Gywnedd Llyod (Scotland) - all of whom made donations to assist development expenses.

Special acknowledgement to the following members who took up the founding member option: Graeme George, Adam Broomfield, Lea Garrett, Leigh Garrett, Margaret Armstrong, Margaret Thorsborne and Peta Blood.

What does membership offer?

Joining in the early stages of development of a professional member association is an opportunity to work with the board to develop an organisation that supports the work that you and a diverse range of practitioners do throughout the world.  In the early days we need to develop the capacity to network, provide quality professional development opportunities and to gradually grow the range of services.

We offer an international conference every two years, moving between the north and south hemispheres.  Members will enjoy early notice of this and a range of other events, along with a 10% discount to any RPI event.

Members will be informed of RJ events and activities and will have the opportunity to network with other members from around the world.  We will have a member only page for discussion and sharing and will have a public listing of all members by locale, region and area of interest.

Future activities include regional events and seminars, a professional member website and professional interest committees to further our work.
